I know we are in the height of summer, but in my mind, I’m preparing myself for fall (maybe because it’s dreadfully hot here and I’m longing for cooler weather or maybe because my daughter already starts school a month from tomorrow - HOW?!) But with autumn on the brain, I find myself drawn to transitional pieces I can wear right through to winter (gotta love the Lowcountry where winter temps are mid 50’s).

There are a few brands in particular lately that I have found myself gravitating towards: Rachel Comey, Kallmeyer and Soeur. Their current collections embody what I always find myself reaching for: voluminous proportions and playful silhouettes - classic upon first glance, perhaps, but as your eyes linger over the construction and materiality, you find yourself appreciating the special, subtle details. Paired with accessories that pack a punch and you’ve got yourself one chic outfit.
